StraSync ("we", "us", "StraSync") provides a multi-tenant agency operating system. This policy explains what personal data we process when you use our website, workspaces, and paid subscriptions. Subscription checkout and payment processing are handled by Paddle.com as merchant of record, as described below.

Information we collect
Account data: name, email address, password hash, workspace name, role, and team membership.
Workspace data: clients, leads, projects, tickets, files, invoices, and other records you create in your agency workspace.
Usage data: logins, feature usage, device/browser type, IP address, and diagnostic events needed to operate and secure the service.
Communications: support requests, onboarding messages, and product emails you receive from us.
Merchant of record (Paddle)
When you purchase a StraSync subscription, the checkout transaction is processed by Paddle.com Market Limited and its affiliates ("Paddle"). Paddle acts as the merchant of record and authorized reseller for StraSync subscription sales. That means Paddle is the seller of record for payment, tax, invoicing, and checkout-related buyer communications for those transactions.
StraSync provides the software service. Paddle collects and processes payment details, billing address, tax identifiers, and transaction records needed to complete your purchase, calculate applicable sales tax or VAT, issue receipts and invoices, and manage renewals, refunds, and payment disputes in accordance with Paddle's policies.
Paddle's privacy notice is available at https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy. Paddle buyer terms are available at https://www.paddle.com/legal/buyer-terms. If you exercise privacy rights relating to checkout or payment data, we may coordinate with Paddle to fulfill your request.
Subscription & payment data
When you subscribe to a paid plan, Paddle (as merchant of record) collects billing information necessary to charge your subscription, including billing name, address, country, tax identifiers where applicable, plan tier, billing cycle, currency, and payment status. StraSync receives subscription metadata such as plan, status, renewal dates, and Paddle customer or transaction identifiers — not your full card number.
Card numbers, bank details, and other full payment credentials are collected and stored only by Paddle and its payment partners in a PCI-compliant environment. StraSync does not store complete card numbers or CVV codes on our servers and is never in possession of your raw payment card details for transactions processed through Paddle.
We retain subscription status, plan tier, seat limits, trial dates, renewal dates, workspace access history, and Paddle reference IDs needed to provision your workspace. Paddle retains payment, invoice, tax, and fraud-prevention records as required by law and its own retention policies (often longer than our product data retention).
Recurring subscriptions renew automatically at the price and interval shown at checkout unless you cancel before the renewal date. You authorize Paddle to charge your saved payment method on each renewal until you cancel through StraSync billing settings or as otherwise described in our Terms.
Payment-related data may include:
- Selected plan (Starter, Growth), seat count, and billing interval
- Subscription status (trialing, active, past due, canceled)
- Paddle customer ID, transaction ID, and subscription ID
- Last four digits and card brand returned by Paddle (if applicable)
- Billing email, country, and tax/VAT information you provide at checkout
How we use your information
To provide, maintain, and improve StraSync workspaces and modules.
To activate, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription and enforce plan limits (such as team seats).
To send transactional messages about your workspace, security alerts, trial reminders, renewal reminders, and service updates. Payment receipts and tax invoices for purchases are issued by Paddle.
To enforce our Terms, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable law.
Legal bases for processing (where applicable, such as under GDPR) include performance of our contract with you, legitimate interests in operating a secure SaaS platform, and compliance with legal obligations. Paddle processes payment data under its own legal bases as described in its privacy notice.
Data retention
Workspace data is kept while your account is active. After cancellation, we may retain data for a limited period to allow export, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
Billing and subscription records are typically retained for the period required by tax, accounting, and financial regulations.
Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls, tenant isolation, and permissioned roles. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us at privacy@strasync.app to exercise rights relating to StraSync workspace and account data. You may also manage workspace data directly inside StraSync.
For payment receipts, invoices, tax documents, or rights requests relating to checkout data processed by Paddle, contact Paddle using the details in its privacy notice or the support options shown on your Paddle receipt. We will help coordinate requests that involve both StraSync and Paddle where needed.
International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Children
StraSync is a business service not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as we add features such as new subscription plans or payment methods. Material changes will be communicated via the product or email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
